We are looking for friends for stem education
Hello, I'm Ali Tumer Kavakli. I'm a computer engineer. I lived in Georgia for 10 years and 5 years in America. When my wife and I went on a world tour in 2013, we visited 50 countries and our favorite country was Japan. We said that if we had a child one day, we should raise him with Japanese culture in Japan. We have been living in Japan for 4 years. We love the place we live in and the Japanese people. My son Ali junior is keen on science and technology. We started playing with science toys after he was 3 years old. Now he can make program at scratch. He can deal with all aspects of space, lego education, makeblock, space rockets and trains. We play with dinosaurs as well. We help him as much as we can. Everything has been perfect so far. We think that the best education for our child is steam education. The system where the whole world is in agreement, and they train instructors that they try to put in the education system in Japan. But we do not have the chance to wait as it will take many years for their transition to steam education. We do not want to settle in big cities for steam education and raise our children with the metropolitan culture and life. Our only chance is to establish a community with like-minded people in the region where I can establish our own steam education.
Why steam?
The age at which children born in the 21st century live is the age of AI. There are predictions that in the next 30 years, robots will do human work and the unemployment rate will exceed 50%. To live in such a world, it is essential to know the basic principles that drive the world and to learn how software and programs work and how to control a computer. To develop the strength to lead the AI era through computer science education, it is important not to just learn tools like IT's knowledge and technology, but also to have lots of experience to create new things, complete by trial and error to complement and complete ideas.
We need people who think like us
We need people who think like we do. We need more friends who are interested in science and technology. You can see what we have done from our videos in our Stem Ishikawa Junior Science Club facebook group or on youtube.
What is the idea?
It's a place I think of as a steam cafe. It is a place where children have fun, education and spend a good time with their families.
They build lego technic and construction where they and their families can try all the products of lego educationd drone tecnology, raspberry pi, arduino, 3d printer, space, model rocket they build and fly, build and race lego cars, parachute, airplane, kite. Come around every hour of the day and have fun and get steam education.
For now, I can give the initial training, but soon we will have to bring many instructors or receive online training from time to time, such as graphic design, science art, artificial intelligence and 3d drawing. If we can create such a group, we can give our children the education we want much more easily.
We are waiting for you.
